Lotties Friends Hi Pete! Last June I spoiled the Lomax with a set of spoke wheels and I thought you might like to see the pictures. These where taken at the Oerol festival on the isle of Terschelling with the Teepee tent on the back (mind the bumps!)
When I decided to buy the wheels
I realised that I built the Lomax 10 years ago now and it looks better than any car of that age that
I ever owned before (with a minimum of maintenance!) Jukka Isomaki from Finland became Lottie's first friend. He contacted Lottie via her website on launch day (Friday 13th April 2007). Lucky for Lottie! Jukka's Citroen 2CV is a special one-off. He said in his E-mail that the black and yellow Charleston was never available in Finland so he decided to build his own modified version. You can see a movie of Jukka's 2CV skiing on the snow.
Jukka also said in his E-mail "We normally use studded tyres and I changed mine last weekend into normal Michelin X as the snow seems to be gone (but you never know). We do not usually use chains, because you cannot do regular highway speeds with those and Finland is not really mountainous".
"This winter I used wide 155 x 15 NOKIA tyres. They were in fact made years ago by the same company which is today famous for their mobile phones. Nowadays the tyre business is separated". Video of a 2CV pulling people along on ski's (1.9Mb video) Thank you Jukka for allowing me to use your photo's on Lotties website. Last updated: 03 May 2008 |
