Lotties merde flap In early January brave Manly removed the offside front merde flap on the side of the M1 en route to Tan Hill. A pair of new mud flaps had been sat in the garage but the bent wing discouraged fitting them and that proved lucky as the whole wing was removed for painting. On 28th April Lottie got her new mud flap. The two purchased were identical and could fit either side so Manly picked one at random as they fit either side and screwed it on. Back to Black polish was applied but the new mud flap still showed some marks even after buffing up. The other flap was examined and found to be unmarked so that was fitted and blacked up. The marked flap will be used on the near side when the marks will be on the inside and out of public view. Manly learned another lesson in the Saturday sunshine. Check parts carefully before you fit them. Question: why do five minute Round Toit jobs take weeks to fit in and always exceed the five minutes allocated? Last updated: 14 July 2008 |
